‘Shaped by Air’ at Art Basel Miami - A look back to a year ago when our installation for Lexus took its place in the ICAMiami sculpture garden.

Abstracted mesh forms, inspired by the curves and lines of the car, are enveloped in mist and light to create a three-dimensional illusion of the vehicle moving through nature. To amplify the immersive and dynamic design, the vehicle is surrounded by organic, leaflike shapes, subtly calling to mind the cutouts of Henri Matisse.

This year's installation, called ‘8 minutes and 20 seconds’, was designed by the talented marjanvanaubel and is a sculptural interpretation of Lexus' new electrification model. Named for the time it takes sunlight to reach Earth, this solar spectacle is on view at the ICA until Dec. 17.
