Free Shakespeare in the Park 🎭

Free Shakespeare in the Park is back for its 61st season at The Delacorte Theater in centralparknyc.

This summer will feature a contemporary take on HAMLET put on by the publictheaterny through August 6. It is so well done and features an incredible cast! The show runtime is 2 hours and 45 minutes and there are shows almost every day of the week (Tuesday - Sunday at 8pm.)

There are five different ways to get a FREE ticket:
1. Distribution in Central Park:  Free tickets are distributed at 12PM at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. 
2. Lottery at The Public Theater: In-person lottery at 12PM at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Place).
3. Five Borough Distribution: Tickets are distributed at locations in every borough. Locations change each week, see link in bio for specific schedule 
4. Digital Lottery: Enter on the todaytix app before 12pm noon on each show date 
5. Standby in Central Park: There will be a standby line at The Delacorte Theater. Tickets will start to be distributed after 6PM.

This was my first time at Shakespeare in the Park. If you’ve never seen it before, you have to go. Incredible acting, ambiance (like you are seeing the play upstate in the woods), and it’s FREE!

The Delacorte Theater is undergoing renovations after this season, so if you don’t see it this year you will have to wait until 2025 to return to this historic theater. (Don’t worry, the show will take place at another location in 2024!)

Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte Theater is a one of a kind NYC experience!
