Así suenan las mañanas del verano en Casa IV 🌞

As of late, my mornings have become slower, somewhat intentionally, and I am slowly learning to accept the lifestyle that was once a, “I’ll get there some day”.

For the past three years, and for some reason around the month of my personal new year - August - I return to the craft that soothes me the most, jewelry making.

Did y’all know I still make jewelry, or did you even know I have a jewelry brand?🙆🏾‍♂️

And since the start of the month, one order turned into a couple dozen FAST. So, this is what my day to day looks like - and being able to operate in a space that serves all three of my businesses for the first time is an indescribable feeling. ivbydavid is my company, and YES - I still hand craft every single piece and hand write every thank you note.

While I’m still learning to understand what this season means, the lesson my therapist asked me to hold on to the most is - learning to allow my nervous system to operate when there isn’t an emergency. 

And - I look both ways as I say this - now that I’ve successfully completed every deadline I had to achieve for the first two quarters of the year, my mind and body are JUST NOW finding the space to process some of what I worked through along the way - allowing me to sit with how those experiences changed me, while continuing the work to ensure they don’t dismantle me or become me🫶🏾✨

So, appropriate enough I return to the work that most soothes me, with my mornings sounding a little closer to my formative years and appearing like my childlike imagination ☀️
