As we come to a close out #BlackHistoryMonth, I reflect on the one goal I set out to accomplish - and that was to create and carry on legacy!

Through the release of my wallpaper line, that’s exactly what I hope I’ve done by honoring the matriarchs of my family.

To Ruth, although I didn’t get a chance to meet you, for gifting me my love of flowers, for your infectious smile and tenacious over abundance of love that lives on through my mom - I thank you!

To Mollie, for the trendsetter you were, for influencing my life to color and live outside the lines, for your gift of bringing life into this world as a midwife, and answering people “because I was grown” when they questioned your choices - I treasure you!

To Rosie, for your words that could heal the deepest wound, and for gifting plants from your collection to all who visited you after you poured into them - I understand my passion for nature.

And to Lucille, for encouraging me to look beyond the world I live in to create the reality I desire - I love you✨

Your legacy will continue to live on for years to come, and I can only hope that I’ve made you proud - because I’m just getting started🌙

Feliz Tuesday, y’all! And for your OVERWHELMING support of the David Quarles IV x chasingpaper line - with all my heart, I love you 💛 #davidquarlesiv #davidquarlesivxchasingpaper #legacy #choosejoy
