Y’all, I used to be a night owl. But it’s something about waking up early, and before the rest of the world, that’s truly special!

Whether it’s the faint sound of the birds singing, or catching the sun just as it’s about to greet us, mornings are my favorite time of day.

I typically start the day with Jazz - it reminds me of waking up to jazz in my family home and is my favorite morning music - candles and incense (nag champa, thanks to a good friend). I use this time to checkup on my plants, and now that the skylights have been installed - I like to let in a little bit of the crisp morning air as I settle into my thoughts for the day✨

And after I’ve processed my initial emotions for the day, I then open the windows to release what I don’t need for the day, opening up to the world as I take in the sunshine.

Feliz lunes, y’all! And way we all start and end the day with a little time just for us, so that the only thing we pour back into the world is love. 🫶🏾💛✨ #davidquarlesiv #choosejoy
