🔥 Follow this process to use failure as fuel 🔥

1. Learn what you can from it.
2. Find a way to turn it into a positive.
3. Mentally flush it away.
4. Make the next best decision.
•
For example: You just struck out for the 3rd straight at-bat. (Been there many times) 🙋🏼‍♂️

1. Learn from it - Did you stay committed to your approach? Were you thinking about your previous at-bats? Were you too aggressive or too patient? Did you try to do too much? Did you have a quality at-bat but the pitcher won that battle? LEARN FROM IT.

2. Turn it into a positive - Tell yourself, “I hope I get up with the winning run on second next at-bat because I will come through” or “I felt good that at-bat and I’m right on it. Next at-bat I got it.” As hard as it can be in the moment, find a way to TURN THE NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE.

3. Mentally flush it away - Picture a toilet and flush it away. You learned what you could from it and now it’s done and gone. FLUSH IT, MOVE ON.

4. Make the next best decision - It’s time to get back to the dugout and cheer on your teammates. Think W.I.N. WHAT’S IMPORTANT NOW.

Failure is inevitable in life and sport. It’s the people who utilize those moments in the right way that grow the most. It’s easier said than done, but the more you can follow this process the easier it will become. Onward and upward. 👊🏻
