You can have the best swing in the world and be the strongest and fastest player on your team (all important of course), but if you can’t translate that to hitting in the game, what good is it?!?
•
I see a lot of younger kids nowadays looking to break records on exit velocity while doing front toss and batting practice in the cages. I mean who can’t crush a ball being tossed at them in the same spot every time?
•
The question is, can you do that during a real at-bat in a game when a pitcher is mixing up pitches and has a plan against you? Can you slow the game and your mind down to produce those same eye popping exit velocity numbers as you do in the cages?
•
This is why I am PUMPED for our Mental and Physical Strategies to Hit Like a Pro Grand Opening clinic dbatgaithersburg next week. Not only will we help you develop your physical skills such as increasing bat speed, power, etc., but also your mental skills.
•
For 25 min. of each session we’ll focus on the mental side of hitting and help you develop a “Big League Mental Approach to Hitting”, self-awareness, confidence, routines, discipline, and much more.
•
Our goal in this program is to develop the whole player. A player who can translate all of the hard work put in at practice to the game. A player who can thrive both on the field and off.
•
It’s time to get to work. I’ll see you there. 👊🏻
