The Peel P50 weighs about 130 pounds, lighter than most of the people who drive it, which is the exact reason it never needed a reverse gear. A handle bolted to the back lets you spin it in place like a piece of furniture.

Built on the Isle of Man starting in 1962, it measures 54 inches long and 39 inches wide, runs on a 49cc engine smaller than most motorcycles, and seats exactly one adult and a bag of shopping. Guinness still lists it as the smallest production car ever made.

Six decades on, still the only car you park by picking it up.
