That’s the strange pull of this list. It packs self-driving roads, instant Netflix downloads, 100-year average lifespans, month-long batteries, AI doing most jobs, and humans walking on Mars into one stretch of ordinary life.

The timelines don’t move at the same speed, though. Wealth can compound much faster than biology, regulation, or space travel. Putting all of it in one frame makes the future look like a single wave when it’s really a pileup of very different clocks.
