The Pentagon just failed its audit for the eighth year straight 🤯

Since 2018, the Defense Department has run full, department-wide financial audits and has failed every time. This year’s review covered about $4.7 trillion in assets and about $4.7 trillion in liabilities, and auditors still cited 26 major weaknesses that make the numbers hard to trust.

When the books don’t match reality, accountability gets expensive and waste gets easy.
