Political polls are everywhere during an election, but how much do they actually influence the way we think about a race?

Let's think about the difference between using polls to understand where things stand and the bigger question of what happens when those numbers start shaping public sentiment.

I’m curious: when you see a new poll, does it change how you think about the race or your vote, or do you mostly tune it out?
