## Caption

For anyone who knows me personally, you probably know that I grew up with my uncle Doug, who has Downs, living with us.  As a weird kid, he was my go to friend to hang with after school for most of my childhood. That included going to his #specialolympics bowling events once a month.  I also remember hearing stories of what a good swimmer he was as a kid and how many special Olympic medals he won.  Special Olympics gave him a lot but it also gave me a lot. It teaches everyone who is involved about being inclusive and accepting by putting everyone on the same field. Regardless of Trump NOW saying he will back off defunding the organization and despite the fact that a democratic congress would have never voted for this budget, the audacity of even proposing it is hurtful.  So, #tbt to Doug and I chillin circa 1996 and to him being a boss in his track outfit circa 1977.
