This week we’re excited to share not one, but TWO success stories from Laura and Michael, our favorite and totally inspiring PHD client couple! 👩‍❤️‍👨

Laura was facing an advanced heart failure diagnosis when she came into our PHD Lake Norman office last spring. She wanted to see if we could help her, as she knew she could improve the condition by getting more active and dropping weight.

Michael came with Laura to support her on this journey, and as they were walking in, Laura mentioned to Michael that he should join her.

That was all he needed to hear: both Michael and Laura got started together and have never looked back!

Michael entered maintenance mode after dropping an impressive 84 pounds in 40 weeks, and Laura was not far behind, having dropped 52 pounds! 🌟

Their progress has been remarkable, Laura shared that she has much more energy and has been able to come off of THREE prescriptions already.

When they started their journey and went for walks together, there was an enormous hill in their neighborhood that always got the better of Laura. But within just a few weeks, she reached the top and conquered that hill! 

And they are now enjoying hikes on all sorts of trails that she never would have previously imagined possible. ⛰️

Laura and Michael’s stories are a testament to the power of supporting those you love.
