## Caption

We love women composers! Nkeiru Okoye recently visited Detroit on a research trip for her 2019-2020 commission Black Bottom. Among her stops were the Black Bottom Street View exhibition detroitpubliclibrary (on view through 3/15) & conversations with Detroit legend & historian Jiam Desjardins, & Bert Dearing Jr. of Bert's Warehouse. #internationalwomensday #womenwhorock #blackbottom #pardisevalley
