Joyce G. from our Durango clinic has let go of 50 lbs! We are so thrilled by her story and her success!

"I grew up on a ranch and we ate A LOT of carbs.  Every meal consisted of potatoes and bread.  Well, I worked off those carbs so it was never an issue.  Then, I moved away and got an office job,  not as much physical labor but I continued to eat those carbs!  I have gained and lost the same 50 pounds over the past 35 years and I knew I needed to figure out how to stop the yo-yoing. I came to PHD because I needed to make some serious decisions about my health.  I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and on medication, I was also on statins and heading toward diabetes.  I want to retire in the next four years and I didn't want to be bogged down with various medications and health issues that would keep me from enjoying this next chapter of my life. I'm happy to say I've been taken off almost every medication and my blood pressure med has been cut in half with a very high chance I'll be able to go off of it all together.  I've learned how to eat and I'm enjoying finding all of the different substitutions for carbs!  I feel lighter both in my weight and in my heart!  I'm so excited for life now!"
