“Not too long ago I shared with you all that I started a weight loss journey. I am still on that path, I can see the end I'm not quite done yet but I recently hit a major milestone for myself and I'm ready to share that with you all now.⁣ It hasn't all been easy but boy has it been rewarding. Up until last month I was steadily losing weight. Then I hit a bump in the road and had a few rough weeks that were pretty emotional for me. I had this goal set for myself and was so close to hitting it but each week for about 3 weeks I was still just out of reach of it. I got a bit discouraged I won't lie but in spite of that, I had my support system from my husband and from my coach Desiree at PHD Weight Loss. She and I talked about how weight loss is not a straight line, it fluctuates and I was having other issues as well that factored in. It was OK to not be as consistent as I had been. It took some time for me to accept that and to use those weeks as a chance to learn about my body and myself. Then after 3 weeks of disappointment, I did it, I hit a milestone! I let go of 100lbs!...let me say that again.....I LOST 100 pounds! It's still insane when I say it now and that was a few weeks ago.⁣⁣
I had promised myself a personal reward for accomplishing this goal, at first it started as, I'll get myself a new cute dress and go out and have Anthony take some pictures to just have fun, then I talked with our friends Jennifer and Joe (JMC Photography Asheville) about my idea and they offered to do a real photo shoot with me! I can't tell you how excited I was that they wanted to be a part of that. So I picked out a place that meant something to me and we went and did the shoot last week. With the help of my friend and makeup artist Beka Abdelgader and my hair stylist Sara Ashlee, thankfully her salon opened just days before the shoot, I was able to put together a look that was beautiful.⁣”⁣
