GM. I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about #web3, NFT’s, and how it will affect the world as we know it. I used to think the arrival of the internet would never be overshadowed, but when I think about the era we are about to enter, it seems as if the internet itself was only a spark. In hindsight- of course the ability to transfer information instantly should be your starting point and not an “arrival”. The last 20 years of human history are so rich with progress… the internet, cell phones, social media, so many tools that changed everything. A smart phone is the ultimate chameleon. So many tools in one. It’s every book on earth fit into one little device that looks super cool. If you go watch old movies they portrayed these crazy “futures” with floating cars and video communication devices. The idea of FaceTime was that far off and imaginative to them. These days you can’t pay me to pick up a FaceTime. I say all that to say SO MUCH has happened due to human progress that we logically should be trying to slow down and understand what everything means. Yet I feel more like humanity is at a gas station fueling up for what we know is about to be a REALLY wild ride. What is about to happen with web3 is hard to wrap my head around. As someone who went out and lived crazy real life adventures BECAUSE of the adventures I had in video games, I’m ready for whatever 🤝🤞. Follow citymeta updates soon on where the project is headed…
