💚Known for rolling green hills and vast coastal views, Waimea is often known as paniolo country. The Hawaiian cowboy culture originated here in Waimea after a heard of cattle was first gifted to Kamaehamaeha the Great in 1793. Today, you will see the Hawaiian paniolo lifestyle sprinkled throughout this inland city.

📍Waimea Butcher Shop: if you have the ability to cook for yourselves at your accommodations, pop in for some delicious local meats. If not, they offer an array of lunch specials for grab and go!

📍Hawaiian Style Cafe: the most delicious diner-style cafe with all the Hawaiian favorites! Very reasonably priced with large portions. 

📍The Fish and the Hog: amazing BBQ using local meats and produce. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu.
