I’ve been doing a decent job of getting back on the healthy eating train! Sometimes, it takes me awhile to get back into the swing of things but I’m determined to make it a lifestyle change. I’ve been consistent with 4+ workouts a week and incorporating more greens into my diet (can’t get enough brussels sprouts!!).⁣
▪️⁣
My only challenge is breakfast. Because I workout in the mornings, I am STARVATION CENTRAL by 9am and pretty much every 3-4 hours after that. I need something hearty, healthy and filling.⁣
▪️⁣
I tried a little something different yesterday. I made some traderjoes oatmeal, topped it with 1/2 a banana and 1/3 fresh dragon fruit, added a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter (for extra protein), and a slight drizzle of choczero maple syrup for a natural sweetness. Holy filling! This kept me full for a solid 4 hours (and this was after a pretty strenuous strength training sesh 💪🏼).⁣
▪️⁣
The takeaway here, play with your food...literally! Get creative and mix and match different flavors and textures. You never know what unique creation you’ll come up with!⁣
