At one point, there were about 247 lighthouse in Michigan.  Now, there are less than 100 that remain in good condition⚓️⁣

When the Mission Point Lighthouse was built in 1870, it was an exact copy of the Mama Juda Light (now destroyed), which was built on the Detroit River in 1866.⁣
