## Caption

Today we are spotlighting the amazing axolotl! 💧

Axolotls are critically endangered, with fewer than 1,000 estimated to remain in the wild in Mexico due to habitat loss, pollution, and invasive species.

One way you can help protect species like the axolotl is by conserving water, properly disposing of trash and chemicals, and learning more about freshwater ecosystems and conservation.

Protecting rivers and lakes helps wildlife everywhere thrive. Small actions at home can create a big impact for species around the world. 🌎
