GO-TO TIPS FOR SXSW 🎶🎉⬇️ (+ a few events I’m excited for throughout the week)

SXSW starts on TODAY! 🤯 Here are a few of my general SXSW tips to get you mentally prepared:

💥 create a separate email specifically for your sxsw RSVPs and organize your RSVPs/events you wanna do by each day in a separate folder in your email — for a spreadsheet list of events, check out the link in thedirtyteam’s bio!

💥 wear your most comfortable shoes because you will be walking all over the central city, and scooters/Ubers are a pain in the 🍑 depending on how far you’re going

💥 don’t be afraid to go solo — you’re way more likely to get into shows & see more stuff anyway—plus you will meet SO many new cool people and discover a lot more new music!

💥 don’t sleep on new artists just because you haven’t heard of them before; many famous musicians have blown up right after sxsw

💥 you’re gonna be given A LOT of free stuff and swag — some kind of tote bag or backpack would be efficient to carry it all

💥 expect rideshare prices to be insane during peak times like noon-2pm, 5-7pm & 11pm-2am 🚘

💥 don’t drive in central downtown to attempt finding parking; it is hell on earth getting in or out of there — take a rideshare or the bus!

💥 weather is always crazy during the week of sxsw; def prepare to wear layers 🥶🥵

💥 PORTABLE👏🏽BATTERY👏🏽CHARGER👏🏽

What are your best sxsw tips? 🤔 Swipe through for a few events going on I’m excited to check out!
