I had the pleasure of revisiting Mumm Napa on my visit to California this season. Founded as the American counterpart to the legendary Champagne house ghmumm, it carries forward a rich tradition of méthode traditionnelle, giving Napa Valley a taste of Champagne’s elegance with a California twist. ⁣

Along with my besties at the first reservation of the day, I indulged in their Perfect Picks flight, starting with the crisp 2019 Blanc de Blancs Reserve, moving to the lively Brut Reserve Rosé, and finishing with the beautifully aged 2016 DVX. Mumm’s balance between vibrant fruit and refined structure always hits. 🥂

Back when I lived in Sacramento, Mumm was a quick trip for a flight of bubbles (+ some bottles to go) and a lovely view. But now, living in Dallas, I savor these moments a little more. It’s not as easy to swing by, but trust me, the experience is worth every mile!

Pro tip: If you’re feeling adventurous, don’t be shy about asking to try something that’s on their wine list. I couldn’t resist requesting an extra taste to enjoy their Sparkling Pinot Noir and their Demi-Sec. With good manners (always a must!), I’ve never been turned down.

Whether you’re a sparkling wine lover or just curious, a visit to Mumm is the perfect way start to your day—because who says you can’t have bubbles for breakfast?
