ampeloswines is a charming wine bar and bottle shop nestled in the heart of Bishop Arts, beckoning with its rustic charm and nod to Greek mythology. And guess what? It’s woman-owned. I couldn’t wait to check it out, especially since it’s the only wine bar in Dallas to exclusively sell natural wines.

What makes wine ‘natural’ if it comes from grapes? Well, wine is considered natural when little to no additives or preservatives are used to change the profile of the wine. (You’ll want to give my friend _whitandwine a follow because she’s doing a whole series on natty wine this month)

Aside from their stylish interior, there’s a patio that’s begging for an afternoon siesta this season. Bonus points if you visit on a Wednesdays and Thursdays.  to a delightful flight of four wines for just $15. Whether you enjoy them on the patio or inside, that’s your call but definitely do it. It’s a great way to try a few different styles. And if there’s a flight, I’m getting it, followed by a glass (or bottle of my favorite). This time it was the motherblock Skin Contact White, comprised of Vermentino, Ansonica, Falanghina, Pecorino and Moscato Giallo. Mmm, still thinking about it. 

Hungry?You can enjoy snacks like Marcona almonds and olives or you can bring your own snacks. Some of my favs in Bishop Arts for quick grabs are Eno’s Pizza, La Reunion, and Tribal. Ooh, and Emporium Pies if you want a sweet treat. 😁
