Let’s go back to Italy, y’all! 🇮🇹🍷 cantina_zaccagnini is an Italian winery located in the Abruzzo region. They’re most known for Montepulciano d’Abruzzo but I loooved tasting their Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo while I visited the winery.

Established in 1978, the winery is situated in the town of Bolognano. The region is known for its picturesque landscapes and a long history of winemaking. I mean, just at this VIEW and the vineyards!

I said they’re most known for Montepulciano d’Abruzzo so let’s talk about it: This wine is one of Cantina Zaccagnini’s most renowned offerings. It is a red wine made primarily from the Montepulciano grape variety. Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wines from this region are known for their deep color, rich fruit flavors, and smooth tannins.

One thing that came full circle for me at Cantina Zaccagnini was noting its distinctive bottle design, which features a small twig wrapped around the bottle neck. It’s actually a piece of grapevine and brings the notion ‘vine to glass’ to life. 🍇🍷

I had to pinch myself during most of my visit in Abruzzo and visiting the winery on my last day was no exception. You can find their wines at your local grocer and bottle shop.
