Do you love or hate photo shoots?! // Come with me on my most recent brand shoot! I try to do things like securing props/flowers the night before, but sometimes, it doesn’t work out like that. I ran to get some flowers, went back home, loaded the car, got dressed and hit the road to thelumenroom and later attdiscoverydistrict! 

If you’ve been here for the past couple of months, then you’ve seen some of these pics by destyniepaige.branding! 

When I shoot at a studio, I try to maximize my time. For this particular shoot, I had eight different scenes, two locations, in two hours. YES, you can do it, too. It just takes some planning! Here are a few of my favorite brand shoot day tips to help you on your next photo shoot: 

👗Wear Clothes That You Would Usually Wear
You can always tell when someone is uncomfortable in a photo. Wear clothing that you normally would and pieced you feel comfortable in.Try everything on before the day of the shoot. While some shoots are more editorial and you may get out of your comfort zone for those, brand photography should feel authentic to you so you connect with your community in a real way! 

🌯Don’t Forget to Eat!
Trust me — You don’t want to have a shoot on an empty stomach. You need your brain working and your energy to be up for your big moment. Have a light breakfast or afternoon snack to satiate you during.

🚙Pack the car up BEFORE you get dressed — and don’t forget your shot list 📝
As you’re prepping everything for the shoot, don’t forget to print out your shot list and have it handy during so you and your photographer don’t miss a thing. Usually the photographer brings one but bring your own. If you’re not going to print it, have it on a tablet that you can check off!
