Who woulda thunk this was the beginning of my wine journey. It didn’t hit me until recently! It was 11 years ago (!!) when I was a contract entry-level employee at an ad agency in Sacramento. And guess what? Being my silly self turned into a final ad in a campaign launch for lodi_wine. It was in magazines, event banners and other places for a few years!

What’s funny is that the pic in the ad was shot six months before I even started blogging. My friend snapped this one at their Wine & Chocolate event in 2012, which ended up being one of my first ever blog post event recaps!

Since then, I’ve worked behind-the-scenes on campaigns and social media management - from a small family winery all the way to global brands. Here as a creator, I’ve partnered with brands to share what a wine lifestyle means to me, pairing suggestions, simple sippers and the stories behind the wines for the past few years. I’ve built relationships in the industry, taken classes and as a coach, supported other wine influencers and professionals in their quest for more!

This year unlocks so many new things I thought I could never do - and some things that may surprise you, too. I have an idea about some of them, but I’m also waiting to see what the universe throws my way. I’ve got my mitt on!

A final thought I’ll leave you with is “You never know.”

Take the chance. Say yes. Stay open yet maintain your sense of self. And most of all, have fun! 🍷
