Looking for an easy and unique hostess gift for the epicurean in your life? Make a Cognac VSOP & chocolate basket for an elevated dessert and spirit pairing! 🍫🥃

Cognac VSOP is aged a minimum of four years and they tend to have notes of oak, floral and spice. It’s especially delightful with chocolate desserts because of its richness.

Remember, the lighter the Cognac, the creamier the chocolate. The older and bolder cognacs like VSOP’s and XO’s can stand up to dark chocolate really well!

For this hostess gift, I included dark chocolate mousse cakes in canning jars (cute and reusable) as well as chocolate truffles. With all of the holiday desserts dressing the table, this gives your host a chance to have a little me-time when all of the holiday sparkle settles.

Want the recipe? Check out the link in my profile.

Don’t have time to bake? Grab something store-bought. There’s no shame there!

Save this for anytime you need a hostess gift to impress. But before you scroll, tell me your favorite chocolate dessert so I can try it with some Cognac. Cheers!
