Pouring on the fun over here this Valentine’s Weekend with a Cognac tasting 🥃❤️ thanks to my friends at cognacusa! How familiar are you with Cognac? It wasn’t on my top spirits list until I started enjoying different styles, and now I keep some on my bar at all times!

A Cognac tasting is a fun twist on what you might usually gravitate towards whether you’re indulging in some me-time or you’re cuddled up this weekend. To me, it adds a luxurious, sensory layer to your Valentine’s Day celebrations — and beyond.

More about Cognac
Cognac comes from Cognac – France to be exact. Located on France’s Atlantic Coast and 75 miles north of Bordeaux, the Cognac region’s history in producing spirits dates back to the 16th century, though the wines the region produced been acclaimed three centuries before.

The three Cognacs I laid out (with some tasting notes for you) are:
▪️Naud VSOP - notes of orange and peach with a coach of oak on the finish
▪️Larsen Aqua Ignis - Intense aromas of vanilla, toasted bread with a silky finish
▪️Maison Ferrand 1840 - Warmer with fruit notes with a spiced honey finish

You can’t stop at the Cognac. Level up your tasting with a few foods to pair with it:
▪️Chocolate covered fruit (cherries are a fav over here)
▪️Cheeses like brie and gouda
▪️Sushi
