How's your week going so far? Can I just tell you, creating new habits with this damn phone of mine has been soooooo liberating! I'm going to confess something to you, something I'm a little ashamed of and I hope you'll hear me. Over the past few weeks, I started realizing just what a crutch my phone and Instagram has been for me. Not just for my “business,” but for Kachet the person. Over the past few weeks, I started paying attention to when I would go to reach for my phone and open up the app. It was usually a time of:

Dead space, like waiting in line or for an appointment

When I was supposed to be engaging with my fiancé and friends

When I would avoid the “hard part” of work

To throw a little more on there, I started getting in the vortex of comparison during those times as well. To say it had made me feel ICKY is an understatement. Stepping away more and posting a little less has offered me a fresh perspective on things and allowed me to be more present for the people who mean the most. If I can describe the shift, it felt like a Cher moment in Moonstruck (Please tell me you've seen the scene where she says "Snap out of it!"). If you've found yourself nodding your head to anything I've shared, I would encourage you to do a similar audit on yourself! Instagram has been a beautiful place for me to connect with all of you, and that feeling is what I'm prioritizing when I'm using the app. What feeling are you looking for when you’re here? You may have noticed more stories on my end lately. That’s a huge part of my change. ❤️
