Here’s how I designed and put together my spring & summer porch refresh. Design tip…when doing arches & porches I try (depending on the holiday) to plan ahead and reuse components to save money and time by making minimal changes. Here, I reused the tree, and changed its look by wrapping the trunk with twine that has baby leaves on it, then adding small amounts of orange and hung lemons….these small changes to the light green Harland I had added for Easter really changed the look of the tree and made it pop. I reused the planters and added in real and full ferns which look beautiful without having to fill them with expensive trees or flowers. Plus they will grow in the shade so I don’t have to worry about spending money replacing them. For the arch I added in lemon picks, some picks that were orange color, a few hanging metal bees, clip on roses and hanging lemons. Then I added some chairs with bee pillows and some wicker basket like lights which compliment the tree basket. The colors really look beautiful especially with the lights on.
