You gotta check this out! I made this on my first try and I don’t have a LICK of floral experience…SO…you can make this too! Give your Valentine or galantine a unique one of a kind bouquet this Valentine’s Day that you make all by yourself. It’s also BUDGET FRIENDLY bc the plastic branch and foam was on sale at HL and the flowers are from Trader Joe’s.
This centerpiece is also perfect for winter weddings…just hang crystals from the branches in lieu of the love notes, OR use silk flowers and add in some lights. Easy peasy.
First, soak the floral foam in water. Then it trims easily to fit your vase. Make sure you leave room down the sides for vase filler, and make sure you have foam 1/2 to 1 inch above the top of the vase so the flowers fit. You can do this in a circular vase too. Trim down and Put your branch in first firmly in the middle so it doesn’t move around. Then place the bigger flowers on top, like I did with the 3 white roses, and make your alternating pattern on the bottom edge. Then fill in the top with color, add in greenery to fill it all in. If you don’t want love notes then you’re all done…you could also add a ribbon below where you might see a foam line …
Otherwise for the love notes, I bought these stickers at Michael’s, and the white note can carefully be removed so you can add your own love note. Then glue them to the tree…add a piece of ribbon below to hide the floral foam line and voila.
This whole thing took me about 30 minutes to make.
