Aloo Pyaaz Sabzi under 20 mins, the comfort of a home cooked meal after a holiday hits different always 😋 Coming back to happiness of this plate with sabzi, dahi & roti #indianfood 🧡
.
Quite an easy one to make with simple steps to follow, packed with flavor and made with love 🥰 All you need is a handful of ingredients, everyday indian spices and not more than 20 minutes in hand to put together this dish 🙃 Recipe ⬇️
.
.
Serves 3
Oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
Pinch of heeng
2-3 dry red chillies, 2 green chillies
1 whole russet potato or 2-3 medium
1/2 medium onion, sliced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp each red chilli powder, coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric, pepper, raw mango powder
Dash of Lemon juice
.
.
In a pan add oil - once warm add mustard seeds & let sizzle, add cumin seeds & let splutter - add heeng, dry red chillies, green chillies and toss for a few seconds for flavors to marry. Add potatoes (finger shape or sliced as to preference) combine with spices until well coated & toss for a minute to evenly cook - add salt - mix - cover the pan with a lid & let it cook on low medium heat for 5-7 mins until golden, stir once in between. Add onions, spices + a little water for everything to come together without getting burnt. Let it cook for 3-4 mins on medium heat stirring in between, finish with lemon juice. Ready, serve with roti ☺️
