Sabudana Khichdi fans here? Well I am a big one 🤩 Two things to keep in mind while prepping this beauty - soak them well overnight to get a perfect fluffy texture and secondly you don’t have to over cook those pearls once added to masala, just a few minutes work well 😇 I like to add in boiled Aloo instead of raw - cooks faster plus demand less oil 😁 Easy peasy hearty lunch ideas, save the recipe right away and enjoy a bowl of deliciousness 🤗
.
.
Ingredients
1 cup sabudana, soaked in 2 cups water overnight
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 dry red chillies
Pinch of heeng
2 sliced green chillies
1 large potato boiled + diced
1/2 tsp each pepper, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt to taste , turmeric
1/2 cup frozen peas
Lime juice
Crushed roasted peanuts, Cilantro
.
.
In a pan add oil - once warm add cumin, heeng, chilies and let splutter for a few seconds - add boiled diced potatoes, toss well and let cook for 2 mins - add all the spices, a sprinkle of water if needed to avoid them from getting burnt - frozen peas, toss with spices for a minute, add drained sabudana, lime juice - combine well with masala by gently folding - add crushed peanuts, stir - cover and cook on low medium heat for 4-5 minutes- finish with cilantro
