After a blockbuster few days in our Nation’s Capital last week, I’ve returned home with a more refined perspective on our struggle to codify voting rights & halt New Jim Crow laws.

We must:

🗳Protect voters
🗳Establish automatic & same-day registration
🗳Make voting accessible

I spent my time speaking with members of the House and Senate & key figures on national television.

Across the board, I advocated for the #ForThePeopleAct—the gold standard for addressing voter suppression, encouraging engagement & making the ballot box accessible.

We’ve seen the disaster that is Texas #SB7

Those in power are trying to go back to a Jim Crow system we never fully left…they know they don’t have the votes needed to win when the richness of our diversity is reflected.

Congresswoman karen.bass.la is holding it down in Los Angeles and speaking up for the little guy on the housejuddems Committee. Thank you for making us proud!

Chairman repjeffries leads the housedemocrats and steers us well—all while repping Brooklyn day in & day out.

A registered nurse & the youngest Black member of Congress, I'm such a fan of laurenaunderwood. Her tireless efforts to expose wrongs & expand healthcare don't go unnoticed!

Coming to America at just 16 & advocating for others ever since, pramilajayapal is Chair of the Progressive Caucus.

And I had to find our Squad!

My sisters in service—Congresswomen AyannaPressley AOC CoriBush—words cannot express the pride I feel watching you serve our nation with justice, bravery, and vigor.

I aspire to lead my district with the same unfettered determination!

We must modernize voting in America.

We’re fighting tooth and nail to protect Texans from voter suppression -- and we need back up from the federal level.

All eyes are now on the US Senate to uphold democracy and put an end to the big lie.
