ENDORSEMENT ALERT 🙌🏾 STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBER Aicha Davis says, “There is an extremely tough race going in HD 100 to find a final replacement for now Mayor Eric Johnson. As a House Rep, he fought hard for kids. He authored the bill that drastically limits suspensions for students in pK-2nd grade (yes, BABIES were being suspended like crazy). The person who assumes this seat must have the passion, drive, and priority to protect our kids.

Jasmine Crockett has been doing that for years. As an attorney, she's fought for equity and rights. She thoroughly understands the law, and that's EXTREMELY important as a Member of the Texas House. We need someone in Austin who can break down all the pieces of a bill to find hidden discriminatory practices and fight against it. We need someone who can author bills that bring positive change to our community. We need someone with strong community relationships and value for service.

Positive change comes from effective policy. That's why I strongly support Jasmine. Right now, we have children of all ethnicities being suspended because of their hair. We still have inequitable education practices that cause opportunity gaps in urban and rural schools. We need change now so our kids have a better chance to improve their outcomes.
Jasmine can get it done. Early voting is happening NOW ❤” #greekgals #dstzphib #magic #youngqualifiedandpassionate #jasminefor100 #txlege
