Ahem, now that I can safely eat desserts (thank you gestational diabetes) I have been craving this Banoffee pie. (I also accidentally ordered 6 bunches of bananas at 5:30 am) Best part, it is SO easy, comes together quick.
This week’s grocery order on walmart included all the stuff I’d need for this absolutely luscious dessert. It’s a little hard stepping out with 3 kids to the store - but fret not!! Walmart is my one stop shop, where the low prices are the exact same online as they are in store. So when you’re shopping for the things you need or love, don’t worry about the prices being better in store vs online. At this point the Walmart App and I are best friends.
Heres what you need
1 pie crust
1 can of dulce de leche
3 bananas
2 tbsp of Nutella
Pinch of cinnamon
Cool Whip or Heavy Cream
1 tsp of any instant coffee
1/4th Bar of chocolate for chocolate shavings (optional)

Set your oven to 350, sprinkle the cinnamon over the pie crust and bake for 7 mins till set. Let it cool. (This step is optional, you can go ahead and use the crust just how it is)
Now drop the Nutella onto the hot pie crust and spread it out.
In the Meanwhile cut the bananas into slices.
Let the crust cool for 10 mins and arrange the bananas our over it. I warmed up the dulce leche in the microwave so it would pour easily. Pour that over the bananas
In a bowl, fold the cool whip with the instant coffee powder and spread that over the pie.
If you’re using heavy cream, whip the cream with the coffee and spread that over the pie
Refrigerate for 1 hour or over night. Serve cold.
