How long does numbness last after a deep plane facelift? 🤔

Numbness is a completely expected part of the healing process after a facelift!

During surgery, tiny sensory nerves beneath the skin are temporarily disrupted, resulting in an area of numbness that typically extends from the outer corner of the eye toward the jawline and back to the ear.

Most patients experience gradual improvement over 6–12 months, although recovery varies. Some regain sensation sooner, while others may take a year or longer.

The good news? This numbness is generally not bothersome, and sensation typically returns gradually as the tissues heal.
