Do you still need sunscreen on a cloudy, snowy day? Absolutely yes.

Up to 80% of UVA and UVB rays still penetrate through clouds, and snow can reflect UV exposure back onto your skin. That means you’re getting hit from above and below.

I recommend a mineral sunscreen with at least SPF 30 for daily baseline protection. Mineral sunscreens contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, which sit on the surface of the skin and physically block UV rays.

Today I’m wearing Colorescience SPF 50, but the key is consistency. Rain or shine. Summer or snow. Your skin doesn’t take a day off, and neither should your sunscreen.
