Happy National Detroit-Style Pizza Day! 🍕Even the Spirit of Detroit knows Detroit-Style is the best style. 😌

Join us today in celebrating our iconic and unmatched pizza scene here in Detroit. 🎉

The Detroit-Style Pizza legacy began in 1946 when Gus Guerra and their team at buddyspizzadet made the first square-shaped pizza baked in forged-steel pans borrowed from local automotive plants. 🚘

This was the first known square pizza in the U.S. and now, more than 75 years later, it has become a national and international favorite! 🌎

Detroit has also frequently been ranked as the Best Pizza City in the US in recent years, with multiple studies ranking Detroit high on a mix of metrics, including number of pizza restaurants per capita, affordable prices, positive Yelp ratings, and number of Google Trends searches.

Let us know in the comments: what is your favorite place to get Detroit-style pizza? 👀
