We are so excited to introduce Jacob Lange of Area 4 in Perrin, Texas as the 2023 Texas Agricultural Teacher of the Year!🏆 

This year we brought back the Texas Agriculture Teacher of the Year Award for the Texas State FFA Convention. We called on all FFA members to nominate their ag teachers! 

We had over 1,000 entries for so many amazing ag teachers across the state. Choosing one teacher was no easy feat. 

Out of the 1000+ entries this teacher got over 100 extremely thought out ESSAYS about their commitment to their students. Here are some entries from his students and examples of his passion for agriculture:

Mr. Lange goes way beyond the “normal” ag teachers. He works around our schedule to make practices and things work for the best of the team and so that we can participate in all of our events outside of FFA as well. I had a very limited budget for animal project and Mr. Lange spent weeks hunting the “right” project for me. He then worked with me weekly and as the shows approached daily. I knew nothing about showing pigs until he guided me and was fortunate to win first place thanks to him. 

Mr. Lange is Texas’s Outstanding Ag. teacher for his passion, ability to motivate kids, and his love and support for them. Without him, I would never have known the value of the program. There are many great ag teachers, but I strongly ask you to consider my ag teacher, mentor, and friend, Mr. Lange for the Justin Boots Outstanding Ag. Teacher Award. 

s. Lange deserves this recognition because he constantly is able to make students laugh and bring a smile to everyone’s faces. He gives everyone a fair and equal chance and he sees the potential in every student. Even the students who think they could never have a career or anything in FFA like myself. I never imagined I would be involved in FFA but because of Lange I was able to get a state champion radio title in 2021.
