Did you know that the word “samba” is thought to come from the Kimbundu term semba (Angolan)? 

The Angolan influence in Brazilian culture is due to the deportation of slaves who, in order to maintain their identity in another country, carried on their traditions. 

The African influence in Latin dances is prevails and testify the historical presence of blacks in that era. In many other cultural aspects we can also see the imprint of West Africa
