Getting to know future Men's Volleyball Jimmies.

Avery Harms is a 2023/24 signee coming to UJ in the fall of 2023. He is an 18 year old local to the state of North Dakota living in Bismarck. Avery has had a unique experience with the sport of volleyball like many other future, present, and past Jimmies. Avery got into the sport because of his father. Unfortunately though, there is very little, to no opportunity for boys to play volleyball at all in the state of North Dakota. With that, Avery is a multi sport athlete taking advantage of other sports offered to boys at his high school such as track and field since volleyball was not an option. Avery chose the University of Jamestown because he liked the sense of community and how much of a family environment his UJ visits felt like. He will be majoring in Biology. Besides athletically, with his journey in sports thus far, he has some interesting facts about him personally. Music is a passion of his racking up over 160,000 minutes of time listening to songs on Apple Music. Scooby Doo is his favorite Pop Culture Character. He loves to travel and plans to go all over the place after he finishes school. One thing on his bucket list it to ski with friends in the Alps and his favorite color is purple. dr_harmsie will be an excellent addition to the roster for the Jimmies this upcoming season. His speed, agility, and overall athleticism can be seen in the #17 jersey!
