The profits drug cartels make are estimated to be in the billions. Traffickers at the border can get fentanyl pills for as low as $1 each. Officials in Montana are seeing those same pills being resold for as much as $70 each.

Mexican cartel operations don't stop at the border. As they see a rise in drug activity, many cities and small towns in Montana and other states are also seeing a rise in violent crime.
