⚡️flashback⚡️Usain Bolt, takes a seat, waits behind the boards, and waits to be called up for the 100 meter final at the 2013 IAAF World Championships at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia.

Updated:: someone asked below, what was I thinking at the time.. Well, this was one of those special moments that I have collected in my track and field life.  I remember being there alone with Usain for about a minute. Usain had walked away from where the other athletes were waiting for the start of the race, to have a seat. He got up after about 20 seconds and paced back and forth.  I was pumped with adrenaline being so close to a semi private , critical moment like this and it being Usain Bolt in the 100m final. I could sense a calmness in Usain and at the same time, anxiousness to start the race.  I remember it lasted longer than I expected.Usually, athletes don’t wait that long before a race, out on the track area before the start.  I felt in the zone and wanted to capture the moment/ the feeling , without bothering Usain.  I live for these special intimate moments, during competition. I call it the essence. Photos like this bring me right back.  As a track fan, this was priceless. 🙏#bestseatinthehouse  Thanks Usain.
