July was hard. I’m not exactly sure why. I’m trying to teach myself to be thankful for the hard days, while giving myself grace to feel whatever I need to feel. For a while I didn’t allow myself to have hard days, but I’ve found that the hard days are just as important as the good ones, they teach you more about yourself. I’ve been a huge fan of “rot girl summer” this month. It’s given me time to feel, not feel, and time to spiral. Something I haven’t let myself do before. It gave me time to really be present, shut my brain off, and allow myself the space to really process everything. 

This month was also filled with so much love & support from the people I love the most. Taylor left me with the best group of people, (she loved each of them so so much) who are constant reminders of strength and love. Sharing happy memories, talking about the hard days, and sharing inside jokes with them has been so important to me. She knew we’d need a village to get through this and it brings me so much peace to know she’s walking through this right with us. I’m very grateful to have this space to share my thoughts. For so long I thought grief was a voodoo topic, and unlearning that hasn’t been easy. I know I’m not the only one who felt that way so if sharing my thoughts and story helps even one person, it’s worth it to me.
