Minis In the Mountains: “Trees & Rainbows” 🌲🌈 #AdventureRunsDeep when the whole family is involved. katyrobinbird took her 3 year old, Emi, to bigskyresort to experience tree skiing for her first time. Watch what happens next.
 
Katy says, “Adventure begins when we step into the unknown… the unknown of knowing what we are capable of. I hope to raise capable kids who believe in themselves, who crave adventure, not because they are fearless, but because they know I believe in them, and that I’m there to support them no matter what they are feeling, be it rainbows or tears.
 
When this ski day began, Emi very matter of fact said, “mama, I don’t think I’ll like tree skiing.” It was the middle of the winter. She was 3 years old at the time, and had never skied a tree run before. It was also her first time skiing at bigskyresort and our friends told us it was a tiny tree skiers paradise. I could sense she wanted to see what the fun was all about, but was scared since the tree runs at our local hill were beyond her ski level. She was stepping into the unknown, with me by her side, and quickly discovered just how capable she is, and what a magical experience adventuring into the unknown can be. Since that day, I haven’t been able to keep her out of the trees!”
