(Part 1 / 4) Meet Madalitso, one of our 'Education is Power' students  from the community of Chikuyu in Malawi. 

Madalitso is 17 years old, a lover of playing football and watching documentaries, and is mature beyond his years.  He answers questions thoughtfully and carefully, speaking often in proverbs and adages when reflecting on the past. 

Madalitso is also an orphan, and has faced immense challenges during his childhood, but today he’s boisterous and optimistic, excited to finish secondary school with hopes of pursuing a degree and career in accounting thanks to his deep love of mathematics. 

Just two years ago, Madalitso could never have imagined having this feeling of hope…
