## Caption

On Wednesday, Aug. 9, College President Fr. Kenneth R. Sicard, O.P. '78, '82G formally blessed the temporary location of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (@FriarHealth) facilities in the Feinstein Academic Center.

Read the full blessing:
"Lord Jesus, in your own ministry among us, you so often brought a healing touch to mend broken bodies and hearts and reminded us of the preciousness of men and women created in the image of God, even the most vulnerable among us. We ask you to bless this sacred space and make it a refuge of healing hands and compassionate hearts, where the spirit of St. Catherine of Siena, patroness of nurses, shines as a guiding light.

Bless the faculty who will share their wisdom and compassion with our students and bless the students whom you have called to share in the noble vocation of nursing and health sciences. Grant, O Lord, that as these young minds are shaped, they may recognize the sacredness and dignity that resides within every patient they serve. May they see not only ailments, but the divine spark that dwells within each individual, and may they honor the immeasurable worth of every life under their care. May they be not merely technicians of medicine, but be nurtured as healers of body, mind, and spirit.

With hearts attuned to the corporal work of mercy of tending the sick, let our students carry forth the mantle of your compassion, serving as vessels of your healing touch, offering solace, comfort, and hope to those in need. And may they always find joy in the service they provide.

We ask you to bless this new facility in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."
