Every college football program recruits North Carolina.

How does a school like Duke become a powerhouse at both in and out recruiting?

That’s what I asked head coach Mike Elko.

His answer fired me up.

“We can get on social media and advertise our brand to every 17 year old recruit in the country can feel like we’re local. There’s a kid in North Carolina that fits who we are and what we’re all about we feel like we can go recruit him against anyone who comes into this state. We also have to expand our footprint and put ourselves into a position to identify those kids.”
